Over the years, I’ve partnered with Papyrus on a variety of Valentine’s Day greeting card designs, spanning boxed sets, interactive cards, and individual designs. Below is a showcase of work created during these collaborations.

Juvenile Valentine Box Card Set | Papyrus | 2023

Papyrus asked me to help bring their juvenile boys’ Valentine’s boxed set to life. The project included four illustrated card designs with die-cut top edges, a coordinating sticker sheet, and illustration for the box packaging.

The concept centered around wild beasts doing extreme sports - energetic, playful, and a little wild - while still weaving in enough Valentine’s Day cues to feel right for the holiday. The collection came together beautifully, and as always with Papyrus, the production quality was top-notch.

Roller-Coaster Card | Papyrus | 2017
Papyrus saw artwork from my Little Kitty Big Adventure’s set and asked to adapt it for a Valentine’s Day concept they were developing. I reworked the carnival scene into a heart-shaped roller coaster, designed specifically for an interactive, light-up card format.

When a button is pushed, lights blink and roller-coaster sound effects bring the card to life!

Assorted Valentine Card Designs | American Greetings + Papyrus | 2017 - 2019

Above are a selection of Valentine’s Day greeting cards created for American Greetings and Papyrus over several years. Working closely with their design teams, I illustrated the artwork and hand-lettered the typography, following provided art direction and sentiments. Some of these designs have lived on in retail assortments for years - so keep an eye out next Valentine’s Day!
